Overview
The TP-Link Archer GE800 is a tri-band Wi-Fi 7 router covering 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz, built as a gaming-focused router with dual 10 Gbps ports. It includes six Ethernet ports in total, one USB port, and supports EasyMesh for mesh expansion.
Who it suits
This router suits users who want Wi-Fi 7 with 6 GHz support and need high-speed wired connections for a gaming PC, NAS, or other 10 Gbps-capable device. It is aimed at those setting up a single router rather than a multi-device wired-backhaul mesh system.
Reasons to consider it
It offers tri-band Wi-Fi 7 with 6 GHz, six Ethernet ports including 10 Gbps speeds, and a USB port for additional storage or sharing. EasyMesh support allows it to expand into a mesh setup if needed, and it can run in either router or access point mode.
Limitations and compatibility checks
The spec sheet lists no wired backhaul support, so mesh expansion would rely on wireless connections between units. There is no PoE support, and power supply details are not specified by the manufacturer.
