Overview
The Netgear Nighthawk EAX15 is a Wi-Fi 6 range extender built to extend an existing Wi-Fi network. It supports dual-band 2.4 + 5 GHz operation and includes a single Gigabit Ethernet port, and it can also work as an access point.
Who it suits
This suits someone who already has a Wi-Fi router and wants to extend coverage from that existing network using Wi-Fi 6 on the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands. It is also suited to setups where a wired device needs to connect through the extender via its single Ethernet port.
Reasons to consider it
It supports both Range Extender and Access Point modes, giving some flexibility in how it is deployed. The single Ethernet port with max speed of 1 Gbps allows one wired connection. It runs on Wi-Fi 6 across dual bands, and power draw is low at a max of 15 W from a wall plug.
Limitations and compatibility checks
There is no 6 GHz band support, no wired backhaul, and no USB or PoE options. With only one Ethernet port, you can connect just a single wired device at a time.
