Overview
The GL.iNet GL-BE3600 Slate 7 is a dual-band Wi-Fi 7 travel router with a built-in touchscreen. It has two Ethernet ports rated up to 2.5 Gbps, a USB port, and runs on USB-C power.
Who it suits
This router is suited to people who travel with networking gear and want Wi-Fi 7 hardware without needing 6 GHz band support. It also suits users who want a physical touchscreen for on-device configuration rather than relying solely on an app or browser.
Reasons to consider it
It uses Wi-Fi 7 on the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands, includes two Ethernet ports with 2.5 Gbps max speed, and supports USB expansion. The touchscreen is a distinguishing feature for a device in this size class, and USB-C PD input (5V/3A, 9V/3A, or 12V/2.5A) gives some flexibility in power sources while travelling.
Limitations and compatibility checks
There is no 6 GHz band support, so this is not a tri-band Wi-Fi 7 device. It has no PoE and no wired backhaul listed, and only two Ethernet ports are available, which may limit wired setups.
