Overview
The Ubiquiti UniFi U6 Mesh Pro is a Wi-Fi 6 access point built for indoor or outdoor mounting. It uses dual-band 2.4 + 5 GHz radios, has a single 2.5 Gbps Ethernet port, and is powered via 802.3at PoE.
Who it suits
This fits buyers already running, or planning to run, a Ubiquiti UniFi setup who need an access point that can be mounted indoors or outdoors. It suits single-AP deployments or additions to an existing UniFi network rather than a brand-new multi-vendor mesh.
Reasons to consider it
It offers Wi-Fi 6 on dual-band radios with a 2.5 Gbps Ethernet port, which is faster than typical 1 Gbps ports on comparable access points. PoE (802.3at) power simplifies outdoor or ceiling installs without a separate power run, and the indoor/outdoor rating adds placement flexibility.
Limitations and compatibility checks
There is no 6 GHz band, so it is limited to 2.4 and 5 GHz spectrum. It has only one Ethernet port and no listed wired backhaul support, and as a UniFi device it is tied to the Ubiquiti UniFi ecosystem rather than mixing with other mesh brands.
