Overview

The FRITZ!Box 7530 AX is a DSL router-modem combo from AVM with Wi-Fi 6 support across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. It includes a built-in VDSL/ADSL2+ modem and a DECT base for up to six cordless handsets, making it an all-in-one broadband device.

Who it suits

Suited to households on DSL broadband who want a single device handling modem, router, and Wi-Fi duties. It also fits those who want to run cordless DECT phones from the same box without separate hardware.

Reasons to consider it

It offers Wi-Fi 6 on dual bands, four Ethernet ports at up to 1 Gbps, a USB port, and a built-in DSL modem covering both VDSL and ADSL2+. The integrated DECT base adds phone functionality without extra equipment.

Limitations and compatibility checks

There is no 6 GHz band, so it does not support Wi-Fi 6E. It lacks wired backhaul and PoE support, and mesh expansion is limited to AVM's own FRITZ! Mesh ecosystem.
