The TP-Link Deco X50 is a dual-band Wi-Fi 6 mesh system designed for whole-home coverage. Each unit has 3 Ethernet ports rated up to 1 Gbps and supports wired backhaul in addition to wireless mesh.
This system is suited to households wanting a mid-range Wi-Fi 6 mesh setup with the option of wired backhaul between units. It fits buyers who plan to run it as a router or access point rather than those needing 6 GHz band support.
It offers Wi-Fi 6 on dual-band (2.4 and 5 GHz), 3 Ethernet ports per unit, and wired backhaul capability for more stable inter-node connections. It also supports both router and access point modes, giving some flexibility in network setup.
There is no 6 GHz band, so it lacks the extra spectrum found on tri-band Wi-Fi 6E or Wi-Fi 7 systems. It also has no PoE or USB ports, and as a Deco-branded product it is built to work within the TP-Link Deco ecosystem rather than with other mesh brands.
