The TP-Link Deco BE85 is a tri-band Wi-Fi 7 mesh system with 6 GHz support and 10 Gbps wired ports on each unit. It is part of TP-Link's Deco ecosystem and can run in router or access point mode, with wired backhaul support.
Suited to households wanting a Wi-Fi 7 mesh setup with high-speed wired uplinks and the option of wired backhaul between units. It fits users already invested in or planning to use the TP-Link Deco app and ecosystem.
It offers tri-band operation including 6 GHz, which Wi-Fi 7 devices can use for less congested connections. Each unit has 4 Ethernet ports with up to 10 Gbps speed, plus a USB port, giving flexibility for wired devices and backhaul. Wired backhaul support means the mesh nodes don't have to rely solely on wireless links to communicate.
There is no PoE support, so each unit needs its own power adapter rated at 51 W max. The system is locked into the TP-Link Deco ecosystem, meaning it won't interoperate with mesh nodes from other brands.
