Overview
The Netgear Nighthawk Pro Gaming XR1000 is a Wi-Fi 6 dual-band router built around DumaOS 3.0 traffic tools, with a tri-core 1.5 GHz processor and four detachable antennas. It has 5 Ethernet ports rated up to 1 Gbps and a single USB port.
Who it suits
This router is suited to users who want dedicated traffic management and gaming-focused tools on a dual-band Wi-Fi 6 network. It fits households that do not need 6 GHz connectivity or multi-point mesh coverage.
Reasons to consider it
The DumaOS 3.0 software and tri-core processor point to a focus on traffic prioritization and control rather than raw throughput. Five Ethernet ports allow multiple wired connections, and the four detachable antennas suggest adjustable signal positioning.
Limitations and compatibility checks
There is no 6 GHz band, so this is a dual-band Wi-Fi 6 device rather than Wi-Fi 6E. Wired backhaul and PoE are not supported, and only one USB port is available, which may limit expansion for some setups.
