The AVM FRITZ!Box 7590 AX is a DSL modem router with Wi-Fi 6 support on dual-band (2.4 + 5 GHz), built-in VDSL modem (up to 300 Mbit/s with supervectoring and ADSL2+), and a DECT base for up to six cordless phone handsets. It has 5 Ethernet ports rated at 1 Gbps and supports wired backhaul.
It is suited to DSL households that want a single box combining modem, Wi-Fi 6 router, and telephony with DECT handset support. It also suits users who want wired backhaul options alongside Wi-Fi, given the 5 onboard Ethernet ports.
It includes a built-in VDSL modem covering supervectoring and ADSL2+, so no separate modem is needed on compatible DSL lines. The 5 Ethernet ports at 1 Gbps and wired backhaul support give flexibility for wired connections, and the DECT base lets it handle up to six cordless phone handsets directly.
There is no 6 GHz band, so it is limited to dual-band Wi-Fi 6 rather than Wi-Fi 6E or 6 GHz speeds. It also lacks PoE, and it ties into AVM's own FRITZ! Mesh ecosystem, which will not interoperate with mesh systems from other brands.
